The Sigma Gamma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was introduced in Jonesboro, Arkansas in March of 2000. At that time there was no graduate chapter of Zeta within a thirty-five mile radius. Recent graduate Zetas needed an outlet to continue serving the community.
This Sorority was created to provide public awareness and education of issues regarding the Sorority, Social Work, provide resources, links to career opportunities, upcoming community events, support and networking.
The Jonesboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc was established on June 28, 1997. There were thirteen dynamic women who accepted the challenge and honor of chartering the Jonesboro Alumnae Chapter. Today the Chapter continues to grow and prosper; making a profound impact on the Jonesboro community.
