The Sigma Gamma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was introduced in Jonesboro, Arkansas in March of 2000. At that time there was no graduate chapter of Zeta within a thirty-five mile radius. Recent graduate Zetas needed an outlet to continue serving the community.

The Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter of the ASU Alumni Association was formed in 1982 and named after Walter B. Strong and Frederick C. Turner, the first African-American graduates of Arkansas State University. The need for the chapter was recognized by a large number of the African-American Alumni who voiced concern over the lack of programs to meet their needs and interest. The chapter was formed by a small group of African-American Alumni as a mechanism to address concern over the lack of programs that met their needs, concerns and interest. Membership has steadily increased over the years as the scope and programs have also broadened. S-TAC is a division of the Arkansas State University Alumni Association

Formed and Incorporated in the state of Arkansas in May of 2017, the G.E.A.R.S. Foundation, Inc. set out to provide additional monetary scholarships and resources to youth males graduating high school while preparing them for college or careers. We envision that every high school graduate, that completes the leadership development league program, will give back to the community with the skills and education they acquired to build more successful youth.
