I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Although therapy can be a scary experience for children, teens and some adults. I believe it should and can be a fun experience while changes are being made. Through a technique called play therapy I can incorporate activities that are playful while the therapeutic process is occurring. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Arkansas. I have worked primarily in the mental health field for the past 4 years. I received my Bachelors and Masters degree from Arkansas State University. I have worked with clients of all ages; from young adults to geriatrics. After completing my internship with a local mental health provider I was hired by them. I later transitioned to a hospital system. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, and grief and loss. My treatment approach begins with building a positive therapeutic rapport and starting where the client feels comfortable. Theories that I may use during treatment include Strengths Perspective, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness. I enjoy watching others learn and use tools to feel confident and autonomous in their lives. I consider it an honor to help people in their time of need. I look forward to working with you!
