KLEK 102.5 F.M.

KLEK 102.5 F.M. is Jonesboro’s first and only Black owned and operated radio station. KLEK is a noncommercial educational radio station owned by the 501c3 nonprofit organization The Voice of Arkansas Minority Advocacy Council. KLEK broadcasts 24 hours every day of year with a format of R&B/Soul/Gospel/Blues/Jazz/Classic Hip Hop/Reggae. KLEK also airs “Community Conversations” a weekday talk show in which local community leaders and difference makers are interviewed. KLEK also airs a variety of educational programming on topics such as Black History/Black Health/Spanish Language/Finance/Women’s Empowerment/Faith.

Sigma Gamma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated

The Sigma Gamma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was introduced in Jonesboro, Arkansas in March of 2000. At that time there was no graduate chapter of Zeta within a thirty-five mile radius. Recent graduate Zetas needed an outlet to continue serving the community.
